Solent City Chorus was formed in the mid 1970s and specialises in a form of a cappella four-part harmony for men known as Barbershop singing. We are a member of the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS) and encourage male quartet singing - we boast several medal-winning quartets over the years.
We also complement our barbershop repertoire with a variety of popular songs which include pop, blues, traditional, spiritual, show songs and timeless classics - all sung unaccompanied and in harmony.
The chorus has access to national singing coaches and trainers and build their expertise into our annual programme with special training evenings education days.
We also have fun, we love to sing together and we support each other to make Wednesday a great night of the week
