The chaps of Solent City Chorus were in for a treat at Guildhall Square as part of the celebration of the Portsmouth centenary. Standing on the risers with Spinnaker Chorus for surround sound, we were once again reminded of the glittering, pink power of ladies' barbershop. Sharing the stage, we men in black might have appeared something of a black hole, but one emitting a shared joy of harmony.

Thank you gentlemen, ladies, MDs, and thanks to David Parkinson for MCing us through the Guildhall bells above, and a special thank you to Mike and Jill Cook for organising the whole event with the city council and between the choruses.

And a special thank you to Jill Cook for these great photos of the event..
